The Bold Italic Love/Make 2015

Recently, I attended Love/Make 2015 — The Bold Italic's 2nd annual wedding expo event. This was my first wedding/bridal event since getting engaged. I went with a couple of my friends and I can honestly say that we had such a fun time. The tickets ranged from $15 early bird pre-sale, $20 regular, and $25 at the door. With admission, guests received an adorable tote bag and two drink tickets. It was held at Terra Gallery in San Francisco.

If you're wondering what exactly goes on at an "Indie Wedding Expo", scroll through and see my photo recap.

First things, first. CAKE.

Weddings these days aren't just about cakes anymore. Unique treats like chocolate-dipped fortune cookies and coconut cakes in a jar by Fogcutter Catering make great individual desserts. And too-pretty-to-eat custom cookies by I Dream of Cookies are a centerpiece all on their own. I was in sugar heaven! Seriously.

A purse made of roses? Sure, why not. A white top hat with sequins? Hell yeah!
Gorgeous floral designs by John James and beautiful bespoke headwear by Tiia Maria

I think it's safe to say that Home Sweet Flowers was a hit. Thanks to their genius DIY floral crown making station, there were women in floral crowns everywhere!

Instead of the stuffy plated meal, how about renting a food truck for your wedding?

Or for the after-party — we can all use some empanadas after drinking and dancing the night away.
