The last scenic stop on our way down the coast was an unexpected surprise. We originally wanted to catch sunset at Refugio State Beach but it was closed. The park rangers told us to go to El Capitan Beach instead. With a few minutes to spare until the sun fully set, we rushed out to the sand and managed to get the last bit of glorious light.
This magical moment of the day is the kind of light I live for. Golden hour is my happy hour.
