Places: Ocean Beach, San Francisco

Its the idea that people living close to nature tend to be noble. Its seeing all those sunsets that does it. You cant watch a sunset and then go off and set fire to your neighbors tepee. Living close to nature is wonderful for your mental health.

I can never wake up early enough to catch sunrise. While it's glorious to witness the day awaken right before your eyes, I was always more drawn to watching the sunset. There's something so poetic, romantic, and tragic about it. The way the colors turn twenty shades of yellow, orange, blue, purple, and pink makes you go through just as many emotions — all in a matter of 15 minutes.

And on this day, as a storm rolled through the Bay Area, we saw one of the most hauntingly beautiful sunsets of the season.
